FREE
SUSS is proud to present The first artist talk, and behind the scenes video on the making of “Legal Tender”, a multi media exploration of intimacy, isolation and money in a post-pandemic world.
LEGAL TENDER
In this presentation, artist Catherine Hourihan reflects on shifting attitudes towards touch and the nature of intimacy in a world where social distancing has become the norm. In the “love” element of her conceptual photographic project “Legal Tender”, semi abstract photographic stills are generated by taking macro body close ups of both genders and projecting these images onto the body. So developing layered, visceral imagery evoking physical intimacy.
Musician Liz Martin, composer for the video component of the project will be joining Catherine and sharing her musical creation so far.
